More About Us

ABOUT ANDY:

Andy was born in Okinawa, Japan while his father was stationed at an Army base there. His family traveled quite a bit as his father got transferred to various bases throughout the world: Maryland, Michigan, Germany, Virginia, Kansas, Korea and finally Hawaii, . His father retired from the military in Hawaii, and made paradise their permanent home. Andy enjoyed sunny and warm weather, and headed to nearby beaches for boogie boarding. He joined the cross-country team in high school and became a captain of the team! He also played clarinet in the high school band and had a chance to play in the Orange Bowl parade.

Even thought he loved being in Hawaii, Andy decided to attend college in the mainland. After researching and visiting colleges on the west coast and in the southwest he chose Arizona State University and majored in Computer Information Systems. He studied hard (graduated with honors!), and joined a co-ed service Fraternity with his roommate where he met many cool people like me! I clearly remember the day I first met him. My first impression of him was "how cute is he?" He was so nice and easy to talk to, I was so sure he had a girl friend. So, when I found out he didn't my thought was "he is cute, smart and so kind, yet he is single. What's wrong with him?" Well, nothing was wrong. Later I found out that he spent many hours in the computer lab; he only had a little time for fun. He asked me to help him on his Japanese homework and we got to know each other. I knew from early on that Andy was going to be my life long friend, he just had a type of quality in him that made me want to be a better person and I would have so much to gain from him. We began to date soon after. Andy resumed his Masters degree at ASU. Upon receiving a graduate degree he accepted a civilian job at the Air Force base in Omaha, Nebraska.

While working for the Air Force Andy kept himself active by participating in Volleyball tournament with his co-workers, working out at the Gym, and we both enjoyed camping and hiking. Andy always set his goals high and works so hard to achieve them. He wanted more challenging, innovating job and we both wanted to be closer to our family. Seattle area was the place offered great opportunities and natural beauties, we soon moved there and made ourselves at home.

Andy and his family have a wonderful close relationship I've ever seen. They welcomed me in the family with open arms and smile, I wish we lived even closer to them. Naturally, Hawaii is the vacation destination for us. When Andy decided to run a marathon last year we knew he would be running the Honolulu Marathon!

Andy is a kids magnet. Whenever we get together with our friends and their kids he is surrounded by them. As soon as I hear them laughing and giggling I know where to find Andy, sometimes one or two kids on his back. I can't wait to see him with our baby, I am 100% sure that he will be a great Daddy.
