About Us

We met while we were attending college in Arizona. We belonged to a volunteer organization on campus and became best friends. After dating for 3 years we got married in Hawaii where Andy's parents live. We've been married for 9 years.

Since Noah was born, we spend most of our family time doing kid-friendly activities. We've discovered so many neighborhood parks and activity centers where he can run around as much as he wants. Also, Noah loves going to the library so much we got him his own library card.

Before Noah was born, we went camping, hiking, and kayaking during the summer. Now Noah has become adventurous himself, we hope to go back and enjoy these activities with him.

Mommy and NoahPrior to adopting Noah, Tomoe had a great career in Purchasing, but she always wanted to be a stay at home mom and that's exactly what she became. She has been enjoying this major life style change, especially meeting with many new friends through three play groups.

Tomoe was born and raised in Japan until she moved to the States when she was 17 years old. She mainly speaks Japanese to Noah, and he is becoming bilingual. She enjoys taking pictures and scrapbooking.

Daddy and NoahAndy is a hands-on Dad, and great with kids. Occasionally, he volunteers to watch Noah and his friends, so Tomoe and her play group moms can relax and work on their scrapbooking.

He works at a software company as a tester, and despite his busy schedule he makes sure to eat breakfast everyday with Noah and comes home to have a family dinner together and tuck Noah in for bed at night.

Andy enjoys running and playing volleyball.

Noah brings smiles to people around him. He started to show so much personality as his vocabulary grows. He loves to sing, dance, jump and run and he would rather be outside no matter what the weather is. His favorite places are beaches and parks, and his favorite activity is climbing.

A few months ago he became very fond of babies. Whenever he sees a baby he drops everything, and immediately runs toward them and gives them a hug. He is one sweet boy!

BaileyOur other family members are Bailey, our Golden Retriever, and Maestro the cat. They are both great with Noah, especially Bailey who is very patient with a two year old who thinks he is a pony. We chose a Golden Retriever as the family dog because of its sweet nature.

Where we live

We live in a wonderful community just outside of Seattle. Our three bedroom house is located on a quiet dead-end street where the neighborhood kids can play. The back yard is large and fully fenced with lots of trees and room to explore. Our neighborhood has excellent schools and nice parks; it is just a great place to raise a child. We pick blueberries at nearby farms, canoe on local lakes, and build sand castles on many beautiful beaches.

Our Families

Family is very important to both of us. Andy's parents and younger brother live in Hawaii, where Andy grew up. Tomoe's parents live in Japan. Every year, we try and get back to Japan and Hawaii to spend time with our parents and make sure Noah gets to spend time and grow to know his grandparents. We feel very fortunate to be sharing our lives with Noah, and are glad our extended families can share in our joy as well. We hope to give another baby some of the many blessings we have.
