About Chuck

I grew up in the Baltimore area, the 2nd oldest of four boys. I had a great childhood in a very secure home where my mom cooked great dinners and my Dad worked for the telephone company. I want my children to have the same kind of loving secure childhood that I had.

I've always loved working with my hands and today I have a tool shop at home where I fix things, a woodworking shop and a big yard that keeps me and my John Deere tractor busy. Jill and I built a wonderful home several years ago that provides me with plenty of projects. So far I've built a deck on the rear of our home, put down a brick walk and added a fishpond for Jill.

Although my Dad was an accountant, he too was always taking something apart when it broke. He always urged me to try to understand how and why things work. I watched and learned so much from him. Needless to say we rarely saw repairmen at our home and I guess that's where I picked up my hobbies.

After graduating from college with a business degree I moved to Atlanta, Georgia for several years where I managed a retail-clothing store. I then moved to Boston where I worked for IBM. New England was a wonderful area of the country where whitewater rafting and skiing are only a few hours away. I'm very thankful that I lived away from home for a while so I could see and learn to appreciate the different parts of our diverse country.

When Jill and I met, traveling was added to my list of hobbies. We've been to London, Jamaica, Disneyworld and the new Animal Kingdom in Florida. I can't wait to take my child to Disneyland so they can enjoy this truly wonderful place. A trip to the beach every summer with family or friends is a must.

It's important you know that my family is my greatest priority in life. I have been blessed with loving parents, a wonderful wife who teaches me something new every day, financial security and the desire to create a lifetime of love, joy and fun for my children. Although you haven't met me yet, I hope this letter helps you understand a little about my life and what I care about.

Sincerely, Chuck
