Dear Expectant Mother

Hi! We are Chuck and Rachel, and we would like to congratulate you on your wonderful decision to let your baby be born and adopted. We are very happy you are considering us. We want to use this limited space to show you that we are a loving, secure, and understanding family with the emotional and financial stability that would make our home a wonderful home for your child.

Let us tell you about ourselves. We have been married 6 ½ years and are very happy together. We struggled for a long time before we were blessed with our little girl almost three years ago. We are very thankful that Sophie is in our life, but we long for one more child to love and cherish. We are faced again with infertility and we feel that adoption is the best way for us to complete our family. We are very committed and very excited about the adoption of our next child. We belong to an adoption support group and know a lot of people who have adopted. Our family and friends are all aware of our adoption plans and are very supportive.

Sophie is a very sweet and loving little girl. She is very active and likes to play outside in her play house or on her slide. We also take her to the park, which is only a block from our house. Sophie goes to a Christian pre-school during the day. She has a lot of little friends there and enjoys it tremendously. She loves her teachers and she gets to do all kinds of fun activities. Sophie is very excited when we take her to the zoo or the circus. Our family also includes 3 well-loved pets. Maya, the dog, is an Australian Shepherd, she is very sweet and very protective of the three of us. The cats are Cleo, who was rescued from the pound, and Yoda, a shy Himalayan.

We live in a nice four-bedroom home in a pretty neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee. It is a two-story house located on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. Everything looks so pretty in the spring with all the colorful flowers. We are currently looking for a new Presbyterian or Lutheran church, which is a good middle ground for us since Chuck was raised a Baptist, and Rachel a Catholic.

We believe in education. Rachel has completed her Masters degree and Chuck has attended the University of Memphis. We want to offer the best education to our children, including musical education and sports. We workout regularly and we like organizing cookouts or dinners, including board-games with our friends. Our Halloween party is very famous! We enjoy going to the Smoky Mountains or Florida for Family vacations.

Our promise to you and to your child is unconditional love and a stable, secure family life with Christian values. We are comfortable with any degree of openness, including letters, photos, phones calls, and visits. Should you chose us to parent your child, we want you to know that he/she is well loved and well taken care of. We would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. We wish you the best of luck in this difficult time in your life.
