Dear Expectant Mother We are Craig, Jill and Alex
Selvey from Albany, Indiana. We thank you for the opportunity to
introduce ourselves and hope that you will consider us as adoptive parents
for your baby.
We have been married for
ten years. We love to laugh and play and there is an abundance of
hugs and kisses. Since Alex was born, we have been unable to carry another
baby full
term. Open Adoption has given us hope of adding a new
member to our family.
Craig is a car nut!
He works out of our home as a sales representative for an auto publication.
This enables him to spend more time at home with the family. He
enjoys restoring old cars and taking the family to car shows. He
also enjoys playing basketball and bike riding. Craig is a gentle,
loving father. He loves to get down on the floorand play with toys
and puzzles or read a book to Alex. He looks forward to sharing
his "toys" and interests with another child.
Jill is a stay at home mother.
She has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology.
She is the type of mother that gets down and romps with the kids on the
floor. She loves to have cousins over for sleepovers and host family
dinners. She also volunteers at the elementary school as a reading
tutor and PTO officer. She enjoys working in the strawberry patch or flower
bed. In the winter she loves to cross-stitch or curl up with a good book.
Alex is an active seven year
old boy. He is in first grade. He loves to attend Sunday school
and church. Riding bikes with his friends or playing on his T-ball
team take up his afternoons. He is very excited to get to be the big brother.
He has saved his books and toys to share with his new brother or sister.
He can't wait to play with and read to his new sibling.
Gilbert is our 10 year old dog. He likes to spend his
day napping or begging for treats. He also enjoys an evening walk
or playing fetch with his bone.
