Dear Expectant Mother

Hello! We are Hank and Leila Jackson, of Durham, North Carolina. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and giving us an opportunity to tell you about ourselves. We admire the courage and love you show by considering adoption. Though this decision is a difficult one, we know that you want the best for your baby. We hope to be the family you are looking for to provide your child with love, care and stability.

We have been happily married for five of our eight years together, and our love shows in every aspect of our lives. Our relationship is based on honesty, respect, affection, and open communication. We are very much a team and face each new challenge as an adventure. There is lots of love and laughter in our home.but, as yet, no children to with which to share it. We strongly desire to be parents and hope to one day share our lives with a child. We are very excited about OPEN adoption and welcome ongoing contact.

As parents, we hope to inspire a spirit of creativity, curiosity, wonder, independence and enjoyment of life. Leila worked for several years as a theatrical costumer, but is now happy to be working within the home. With Leila as a stay-at-home mom, and Hank's flexible work schedule within the computer industry, we will both be actively involved in our child's development and activities. We would like to provide our child with every opportunity to achieve his or her dreams, and plan to make a college education available as he or she grows into adulthood.

As you try to make the best choice for yourself and the life you are carrying, we are glad that your strength and bravery have led you to consider open adoption. We hope this letter has given you an idea of the loving and secure home we would like to provide for your child.
