About
our relationship.... Although we grew up in the same community,
we didn't meet until 1991. We spent 2 years developing a strong
friendship before dating and were married in 1997 in a beautiful
garden wedding. We believe our commitment to each other and our
family is the foundation of our lives.
Things we love to do....
-
Take drives in the country with no particular destination
- Make
pancakes on Sunday mornings
- Walk
the trails that meander through the open space around our home
- Have
barbecues with our friends and their children
- Play
in the park with our 5-year-old niece Samantha

careers and interests.... Rob has a very secure job as an electrician
for a small company. He spends his free time on his computer playing
games, surfing the Net, and tracking the stock market. He's a huge
fan of baseball and NASCAR racing; loves to ride his bicycle, backpack,
fish, and ski. Jan spent 12 years in retail management after graduating
college, but now loves spending her time at home. Her at-home computer
editing work is part-time and she looks forward to being a full-time
stay-at-home mom. She loves cats, enjoys playing the piano, gardening
and E-mailing family and friends. We both like to travel and have
recently been to Hawaii, Arizona, San Diego and Disneyland. |

About
family.... We are lucky to have a close relationship with Jan's parents
who live 5 miles away. Her sister and brother live out of state, but
we use E-mail to maintain close contact with them. Rob's parents live
only a few hours from our home and his sister and family live nearby.
Two of our nieces live close enough that we see them often. We particularly
love spoiling our 5-year-old niece Samantha. Both of our families
are very excited about our decision to adopt and can't wait to be
a part of it all! |

About
our home.... Our home is in northern California, 30 miles east of
San Francisco. We live in a family-oriented neighborhood on a quiet
court where kids ride their bikes. Our back deck looks out onto
a creek and wooden bridge where deer often walk by. Just minutes
away is a park with children's jungle gym, sandbox, slides, picnic
tables, and sports fields. Our community pool is only one block
away. We share our home with our adorable cats, Maggie and Kitty.
Our life is pretty great at this point, but could only get better
with the addition of a child to share our love and good fortune.
