About Larry

I spent my childhood in the coastal town of La Jolla, Calif., with my sister, mom and dad. My dad was an optometrist and my mom chose to be a homemaker. I could tell you we had a great family life, but I'm not going to lie. My mom and dad never got along and my sister and I did our best to cope with the situation.

My dad was never very involved in my life, and as I grew up I decided that one of the most important things in my life was going to be being a good and involved dad to any children I might have. I guess the upside of my childhood is, I learned a lot from my parents about what I didn't want to do when I grew up. Evan and I spend tons of time together, playing catch outside, or board games inside, reading, or just horsing around.

What I love about Carol is how outspoken and independent she is. She is a wonderful, nurturing mom who's so attentive to Evan -- and to me when I need it!. She really does a lot to create a great quality of life for our family. She's been a good influence on me as far as eating habits, keeping us mostly on track eating healthy and avoiding fast food.

In my career, I've worked with lots of glamorous people in Hollywood. But no job will ever matter to me as much as being there for Evan, and any other child we're lucky enough to have join our family. I think being a dad is what I do best.

Since moving to the Northwest, I've had a chance to try some new careers out, and I'm happy to have found a job as a project manager for a computer company located very near our home. This job is giving me a chance to learn a lot of new skills, which I really enjoy.

My big hobbies are fishing and photography. I had Evan catching fish before he was out of diapers, on a summer trip to Colorado to visit friends. Around the house, I am known as "the handiest man alive," for my knack for fixing broken things -- cars, roof leaks, toasters, VCRs, computers, you name it.

My life is pretty great right now -- a nice house in a beautiful part of the country, a wonderful wife and an adorable son, a challenging job. But we still feel like the picture isn't complete yet, until we have another child to love.
