Dear Expectant Mother

We are Linda and Al and we are so happy that you are reading this letter! You are going through a very difficult time in your life and we can't possibly understand all that you are feeling. We are confident that you are making the best decision for you and your child. This letter will tell you a little bit about us and let you know how happy and loved children will be growing up in our family.

We met when we literally ran into one another in the hallway at work. That happened over 10 years ago and started a friendship that grew into a deep love. We formalized it into marriage in 1998 on a beach in Kauai. Our relationship is based on a strong respect for ourselves and for each other. We try to live each day to the fullest, to experience as much of life as we can and, most of all, to be happy. It is under these types of values that we plan to raise our children.

Linda is a caring, kind and considerate person. Her ability to listen to others and support them is valued by her friends and co-workers. This, along with her enjoyment of laughter will make her a terrific mom. She can hardly wait to bake cookies and share giggles with our children.

Al has a laid-back personality and a wonderful sense of humor. In a group, he is often the one sitting back and soaking everything in and enjoying every minute. He is always doing whatever he can to help out friends and neighbors. As a father, Al will provide the guidance that children need as well as tickle-fests!

We believe that there is always a reason that things happen, even if you cannot understand what it is at the time. Life has not allowed us to conceive a child and we are not interested in pursuing fertility treatments. We were thrilled to learn about open adoptions as we feel they are best for the children. It may be that our roads led us to this point so that we could meet.
