Dear Expectant Mother

We are Don and Murcia (Mer-sha) Taylor. We would like to thank you for taking some time to get to know a little about us. We have always dreamed that someday we would raise a child. Since we are unable to have children, we believe that open adoption is a very special way our dream can come true. With your love and courage it can become a reality.

From the moment we met 8 years ago, we have been practically inseparable. Our relationship is based on a strong commitment to each other. Each day in our home begins with "I love you", and there is always a lot of affection and laughter. Our jobs allow us to have dinner together every night, which gives us time to be close and talk about our day. As best friends, we enjoy each other's company and share all of our thoughts and feelings. Now, we want to share our love and happiness with a child. Having a child to love, support, and nurture will make our family complete.

Let me introduce Murcia

Murcia has a wonderful gift of making other people feel good. She is very affectionate, caring and compassionate. Murcia is a child at heart, and loves to spend time with children. She has a very special relationship with our nieces and nephew. She loves to play with them, fix them special treats and make them laugh with her great sense of humor. They always argue over who gets to sit next to her. When I see her with them, I know she will be a fun and wonderful mother.

Murcia has a natural sense of motherly concern and protection. It would be a great opportunity for a child to grow and learn while receiving all of the love and emotional support he or she needs to become an independent adult. A child would be very blessed to have her as a mom.

Let me introduce Don

Don is an honest, loving and gentle man. Don loves the outdoors and working with his hands. On the weekends he can be found working in the yard or doing mechanical work in the garage. He is also very good with any household repair or remodeling. He works very hard around the house, yet he enjoys it. I can picture a child by his side, following him around the yard as he lovingly lets them "help".

Don loves to play with our nephew, nieces and his god son. He loves to goof off with them in the yard and play computer games with them. He is very good at listening and communicating with them. Don is so patient and loving, I know he will be a great Dad.

We are looking forward to sharing more about our lives and beliefs with you. We will be open and honest with your child about how he/she came into our life. We believe it is important for a child to know the love that went into his/her adoption plan. We thank you for considering us, and we hope everything works out well for you and your child.
