Dear Expectant Mother:

Hello,

My name is Megan; I’m 4 years old and would like to tell you a bit about my life so far. I was born to a wonderful woman who I call my birth mom. She was not able to take care of me at the time of my birth so she allowed me to be adopted. Because she loved me very much she wanted me to have a very good home with a nice Christian couple, so she found Heath and Shannon, I call them my mommy and daddy. They too love me very much and provide me with lots of love and good food to eat, a nice warm home, and they teach me all about life. This is how we became a family, as a family we have lots of fun.

My mom is 31 years old and she gets to stay home with me everyday, we do fun things like go to the library for story time, tap dance lessons and we even bake cookies sometimes. Right now my favorite thing to do with my mom is play with my doll house. My mom is very loving, she likes to do crafts, go shopping, cook, and be with her family. I love my mom very much because she reads me stories every night before bed. My mom was born in Denver, Co and has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She’s the oldest, and she tells me how much fun it was having little brothers and sisters and all the fun times they had, we still see her brothers and sisters a lot. My mommy’s mother and father live down the street from us, they are two of my many grandparents, and boy do they LOVE grandkids! My mommy can’t have children that’s why she is so happy that there is adoption, so she and my daddy can have a family.

My dad is 33, he goes to work 5 days a week to make money to pay for our house and cars and of course my clothes and toys, oh and that yummy food too! He has worked at the same job for 10 years and he really likes it, his job is nice because sometimes if he wants to work at home he can and that makes it nice for me because then we get to spend more time together. My dad is very fun he likes telling jokes and he loves to watch movies with me, when mommy has a day with her friends my dad likes to take me to McDonalds and the park, and that’s fun. My dad has 12 brothers and sisters; he’s the 2nd to the oldest so he tells me that he has changed a lot of diapers in his lifetime! Some of his brothers and sisters live in the same town we do, so we get to visit them, my daddy’s mom lives in this town to so that makes it very nice cause I have two grandmas in the same town, that’s a lot of grandma love. My dad was born in this town, he really likes it here!

The town we live in is in Washington State and its pretty small, I think mom says about forty thousand people live here. We don’t live to far from where I will go to school when I grow up, so that makes it nice mom says she will take me to school everyday! Our neighborhood is nice, we live almost to the end of a cul-de-sac and there are a lot of kids in our neighborhood, it’s a nice place to grow up, not to busy so I can play outside and not have to worry much. We have a nice yard and I have a big swing set! Our house it nice, it has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, lots of room, and downstairs there is a big playroom my mom and dad set up for me so I can play with all my toys! I really like it here! Every year my mom and dad take me somewhere fun; sometimes we even take my grandma and grandpa with us. So far I have been to places like Costa Rica, Nashville TN, and San Diego CA, I have seen lots of different zoos, those are my favorite! But I like the times we spend at home as a family too, playing games or watching movies.

So you see I have a pretty good life, I have a loving birth mom who I send pictures to all the time and her parents are yet another grandma and grandpa I have, they love me to and they even call me sometimes! I have two very loving and caring parents who take care of all my needs everyday, and lots and lots of aunts, uncles, and grandmas and grandpas and cousins who all love me! I would say I have a pretty perfect life, but when I really think about it, I’m missing just one thing, I would really love to have a sister or brother to share it all with, the family trips, the toys, the grandmas, just everything I have. My mom and dad tell me how much fun it is to have brothers and sisters and I think, “Ya that would be really great!” So you see that is why I’m writing this letter for you today, because I understand your like my birth mom and you love your baby very much, but at this time in your life you just can’t care for him or her, so you lovingly choose adoption, I think that’s great because of adoption I have a wonderful family, and if you choose us for your baby we would love him or her to join our family too!
