About Jeff

Hi, my name is Jeff and I’m 39 years old. I’m an actuary at an insurance company, where I have worked for the last 12 years. I enjoy golfing, bike riding and working around the yard in the summer, cross-country skiing and ice skating in the winter, and playing on the computer year-round. I enjoy watching sports on TV, particularly football and hockey. We have season tickets to our local junior hockey team so much of our winter is spent cheering them on.

Some of my best memories of childhood were of camping, boating, and fishing with my family. I also enjoyed playing catch with my Dad in the backyard after he got home from work. I used to pretend I was a pitcher and he was my catcher. All the hours in the backyard prepared me for many years of Little League baseball. Every year my Mom and Dad would pack us in the car, attach the camper, and travel to a resort by a lake where we would meet up with several families for a week of fun. These vacations meant so much to our family that to this day much of the family still spends a week at a resort by a lake, except the campers have been traded in for more comfortable cabins. I also remember spending weekends at my grandparent’s farm. All of these family gatherings filled me with a great sense of family that I carry with me to this day.

Lisa is my best friend and I love her so much. She is a loving, caring, intelligent person with a great sense of humor. She is the most generous person I have met; she is always thinking about others before herself. She is very easy-going and stays levelheaded in even the most stressful times. Everyone in my family simply adores her. Everyone knows that she will make a terrific mother because of her ways with children. We share a number of common interests, which allow us to spend time together doing the things we love to do. Many men have told me that they wish they had that kind of relationship with their wives, which makes me feel even more blessed to have Lisa as my wife.

About Lisa

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am 36 years old. I work as an accountant for a company that owns railroads. I enjoy golfing and bike riding in the summer and cross-country skiing and ice skating in the winter, and reading and doing various crafty things year round.

I grew up in North Dakota. I have one brother who is three years younger than me. My parents are wonderful, hard-working people who own their own business. Although they worked hard to make their business successful we still found time to do things as a family. We spent most weekends in the summer at a lake. When I was playing softball my Dad would take me to the ball diamonds across the street and work on my batting, catching and fielding skills. During the winter we built snow forts and snowmen and we would go ice-skating on the rink across the street.

I cherish these memories and can’t wait to become a parent and share these same experiences with our child. My family is very excited about us adopting. My brother has started a college fund for our child. My parents can’t wait to welcome their first grandchild into the family.

Jeff is my best friend and I am so lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful husband. He is one of those rare people who is always cheerful and upbeat and makes you feel better after just spending time with him. He is very intelligent and has a great sense of humor. There isn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t make me laugh. I am a better person because he is in my life. My family thinks he is great and really enjoys spending time with him. Everyone who sees Jeff interact with children comments that he will be a wonderful father. He is very patient and generous.
