Our Home & Family We live in a three bedroom house in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood. We have a large backyard where we like to have family and friends over for cookouts. There is also plenty of room for a swing set and a sandbox. Our neighbors are great and our community offers lots of fun things to do. We live minutes from the beach, lakes, playgrounds, and water parks-all perfect for spending fun weekend afternoons. There are also good schools nearby and lots of historical sites to see. Our home is full of love and laughter, and we can’t wait to welcome our little angel. Our Family-Heather’s Side I was born and raised here in Charleston, so most of my family lives here. My dad, Roger, and fourteen year old sister, Lisa, live five minutes from us so we see them a lot and get together for dinner at least once a week. My dad is very happy that we decided to adopt and he’s going to be a really fun grandpa. Lisa can’t wait to be an aunt. She’s already asking when she can babysit and every time we go shopping she wants to buy something for the baby. Unfortunately my mom, Rosemary, is no longer with us. She would have been the most excited about having a grandchild. My Aunt Heather has offered to fill in as “substitute grandma”. When I was growing up she was the most fun aunt a kid could ask for. I also have a grandmother, aunt and uncle, and some cousins that live in the area. There’s even a baby cousin named Bailey who would love to have someone to play with. We see my family often and always get together with them to celebrate birthdays and holidays. They are all very excited about the possibility of a new addition. Our Family-Kevin’s Side I am originally from Indiana, and my parents still live there. We go visit them usually once a year and they come see us as much as they can. My mom, Kay, and step dad, Jim, are so excited about becoming grandparents. We talk to them on the phone once or twice a week, and they mention it every time. My dad, Larry, and step mom, Rhonda, can’t wait to have a grandchild to spoil. They’re already planning things to do when the baby comes to visit. They are going to be moving closer to us when they retire, so we’ll see them a lot more than we get to now. I’m also very close to my brother, Jeff. He and his wife Carrie live in Washington right now, but will be moving back here soon. They are thrilled at the thought of having a niece or nephew. My aunts, uncles, and cousins are spread out all over, but we manage to get together every few years for special occasions. Hopefully we’ll have a good reason for a reunion really soon. Thanks again! We really appreciate you taking the time to get to know us. If we are lucky enough to be chosen as the adoptive parents of your baby, we promise to give him or her every opportunity we possibly can. Your child will always know that your selfless decision to make an adoption plan was made out of love and kindness. We are fine with any degree of openness you are comfortable with. We’d love to hear from you, but no matter what you decide, we wish nothing but the best for you and your baby. If you would like more information about our family or would like to visit further, please use this link to send us email. Sincerely, Kevin and Heather |
