About Us

We’ve been married for almost 14 years, and we live in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego, a close-knit community with many loving families and children. We have a four bedroom home that blends traditional with contemporary and a great bedroom all picked out to decorate as our “child’s nursery.” Next door to us lives a family with four little girls. The first thing that we were asked when we moved to this neighborhood three years ago was “do you have children?” When we responded “not yet,” they all gave us assurances that, when we did, they would be a great support circle for motherly advice, playmates, and companionship.

We both have professional careers and fortunately have terrific jobs within our fields. We also both work at Qualcomm. Randy is a Director of Marketing and manages wireless business solutions for the transportation and logistics industry. Leslie is a Director of Product Management and has the interesting role of marketing software which allows people to download music ringtones to their cell phones! While Leslie has found her career very rewarding, she is now looking to taking on new adventures of family life. She would like to remain at home and relish the joy of being a “full-time” mother just like her mom did.

Our Family

Growing up, we both were blessed with very loving families. We both come from very stable environments. Both of our parents were married for well over 50 years! Through adoption, we plan on providing the same loving environment for our child. Randy grew up in San Francisco as the youngest of three brothers. Leslie grew up in the Erie, Pennsylvania and has five brothers and one sister. We also have a large extended family. Randy has four nieces and nephews, while Leslie has eleven! Leslie’s family has affectionately been called “the tribe of the loud people” given the element of fun and confusion experienced when the whole clan gets together! Our families can’t wait for us to adopt and add a ‘little one’ to “the tribe”!!!

What We Do For Fun

We’ve known each other for over 20 years! Many friends ask what makes our marriage work and how we remain so close. We have similar tastes – from home décor to food, friends, and vacation spots.

We also love to travel and have been fortunate to experience many sights and experience diverse cultures and lifestyles. Some of our favorite trips have been to Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, Africa, Tahiti, and Hawaii. We’ve enjoyed seeing the world and very much want to share similar experiences with our child. After work, we enjoy the outdoors - hiking, sailing, biking, walking, rollerblading, and just spending time with friends, family, and each other.
