More About Us Another blessing is our neighborhood full of wonderful people always willing to do a favor or help out. It's like one big playground as the boys feel welcome to visit neighbors' backyards and garages full of toys looking for their next "adventure." We like it for its many traditions like the annual Halloween parade and Santa's arrival on a fire truck every Christmas eve. Kathy helped chair the parade and is already talking about the Easter egg hunt. Our town has more to offer children than there is time to do-two beaches, a boat club, sports, holiday traditions like a Pumpkin Fair and Christmas tree lighting. We also treasure the friends we have made here; they are like a second family. This profile would not be complete without a huge section on Eamonn and Connor! However, we could write a book about them, and of course, they are all we talk about. We'll TRY to keep it brief! Connor is a very caring, sensitive little boy who loves Thomas the Tank Engine, Woody and Buzz and everything to do with the ocean (thanks to Finding Nemo). He is very artistic and loves his art class (though we knew it was time to go when Connor began painting another boy from blond to green!). Connor also loves music and will tell you very clearly whether he wants to listen to a particular song. One of his favorites lately is "Domino" by Van Morrison because that's the name of the pony in the picture. Connor is the king of hugs! He'll often walk up and give you a great big squeeze just because-pure Heaven! He loves to learn and doesn't miss a thing; he often surprises us by using some big word in just the right context. He charms everyone in his travels with unsolicited waves and toothy smiles. His grin grows wider when he is playing with his brother. Eamonn loves to say "chase me" or "find me" and when Eamonn is found, he is often the recipient of a big Connor bear hug. Eamonn is a complete character who loves to flirt and show off. He is always trying to play tricks, particularly on Connor! He, too, loves Woody and Buzz but he's into actually being Woody and Buzz-like riding a rocking horse or flying off the couch-Yikes! Eamonn's favorite class is gymnastics where he can run around with reckless abandon (padded walls and floors). He loves being outdoors and is always anxious to "play baseball." Mommy ( a HUGE baseball fan) brags: "Eamonn never misses; the kid's got a great eye!" Eamonn's favorite song is "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond and he was recently voted "best dancer" at his Mommu and Poppa's anniversary party. (Not to be outdone, Connor imitated his cousins and was voted "best 2-year old breakdancer.") Eamonn has a special love for babies. He'll even share his toys with them and that's a very big thing for a 2-year old! Like his brother, he is a joy to be around.
