About Melissa

Melissa reads a story to her cousin OwenMelissa is a very supportive, generous and caring person. She is loyal and dependable. She's a good listener. She has an excellent ability to organize, plan, and carry out any task. She values family and traditions and looks forward to sharing them with our child. She will be a faithful and devoted mother who can be counted on to put forth her best effort to raise our child in a positive, comfortable, and safe home. She actually enjoys cleaning the house. She's also a "chocoholic" - especially dark chocolate and hot chocolate. She gets laugh attacks and just can't stop. (And they usually happen at the worst time.) She loves flannel sheets and pajamas. Her TV shows are Grey's Anatomy, CSI and ER. She loves BBQ chicken and any kind of potato. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and got her Master's Degree at Campbell University. Christmas is her favorite holiday and she loves to decorate, make candy and cookies. She likes shopping for toys and has 40 Barbies. She enjoys play time with children, and their excitement at life’s simple pleasures.

Scott plays basketball with nephew JoshAbout Scott by Melissa

Scott is extremely easy-going and makes the best of any situation. He's very intelligent and figures things out easily. He never complains. He's great with children of all ages - he just attracts them like a magnet. He has a boyish charm and a mischievous streak, but he's mature and responsible at the same time. Scott is a sports fan. His teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Cardinals and NC State University - his alma mater. He enjoys playing X-box games, especially with our nephews - I'm too uncoordinated to be competitive. His favorites are NCAA Football, Madden and Halo 1-2. He also plays a lot of basketball in the yard with our nephews. He makes great lasagna and spaghetti. Scott is kind, patient and gentle. He is my best friend and can read my mind with just a look. He gives me laugh attacks. He is helpful around the house. He's a wonderful husband and will be a proud father who will provide fun times, encouragement and support for our child.

Melissa brushes Junior by the fireplaceOur Cat

Junior is our 4-year old cat - our "furkid". Despite being born at our neighbor's house, he chose to come live with us. Because of an infection, he had to have one eye surgically removed. But that hasn't slowed him down a bit. He still hunts voles, chases bugs and does everything a cat should do- and more. He gets lots of attention from us. He loves to be in Scott's lap while he works on the computer. He's a sweet cat and is purring for a new family member.
