Dear Expectant Mother

We’re Liz & Steve and we want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.  We look forward to the opportunity to share ourselves and our lives with you through open adoption.  Although there’s no way to imagine how difficult this journey is for you, we hope our words provide some comfort as you travel down this road.  And, should you choose to consider us as adoptive parents, we look forward to building an ongoing relationship that’s comfortable to you and to welcoming you and your child into our lives!

About Us …
We met at the neighborhood mailbox on Mother’s Day.  While chatting with neighbors two doors down, Steve strolled down the street with flowers in hand and presented them to his mother, Liz’s neighbor. The rest is history; we’ve been inseparable ever since. From the beginning of our relationship we’ve planned to raise a child together. Coming from large, loving families, we knew we wanted to share that with a child through adoption. With a solid relationship and a stable, loving home we look forward to sharing our love with a child and feel open adoption is how we are meant to grow our family.

We believe the benefits of open adoption, for all parties, cannot be underestimated and we welcome an ongoing relationship at a level that’s comfortable to you.  We’re committed to offering your child a life of unconditional love and nurturing and, as part of that commitment, want them to always know the depth of your love for them and sacrifices you made for them.  We’ll raise your child to be proud of you and the decision you made for them and look forward to learning more about your hopes and dreams for both you and your child’s future.

Thank you for the opportunity to tell you about ourselves as you take these courageous, loving steps toward considering an adoption plan for your baby.  Whether you ultimately choose adoption or not, it's our hope that you find a path that feels "right" to you, somehow easing your worries and providing comfort for both you and your child.
