About Us

Our Life Together

We have been happily married for 18 years and share a history of memories since our junior high days together (we met in gym class!) We planned our future together the summer we graduated high school- college, marriage, career, home, and family! We’ve laughed, cried, talked hours into the night, and walked many miles holding hands, and dreaming. We always knew we would be parents and our journey was certainly worth the wait! We know our love for each other is the “Real Deal”. We were voted “Most Spirited Couple” in high school…and we still are! We have so much to celebrate! We are committed to spending the rest of our lives together- happily in love!

We are financially stable and have secure employment. Tom is Vice President of Sales in the mortgage industry, and Brenda is a stay at home mom. Brenda was a very involved and creative elementary teacher. She loved her students and they loved her. Her favorite role is “MOMMY”. She promises to be a room parent and volunteer on field trips! We value education. We both are very active with Noah' s cooperative preschool.

We live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in a community wedged between the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound. Our cul-de-sac neighborhood is very safe and friendly, with many young families and children. We have a lovely 4 bedroom home (+playroom!) with a fenced back yard and gigantic Rainbow Castle (jungle gym) to play on. Our backyard connects to a protected nature preserve with Douglas fir trees, old maples, blue jays and chipmunks! The local elementary school is walking distance from our home, as are walking trails, and parks. Hot air balloons fly overhead in the summer months…we LOVE our neighborhood!

As a family we enjoy traveling, walks in the woods, beach combing, and backyard gardening (Noah digs in the dirt!). We also enjoy entertaining friends and family, creative cooking with “Amateur Chef” status, and anything that is kid friendly-pumpkin patches, Christmas tree farms, discovering new parks and playgrounds, zoos, aquariums, and museums. We’ve also met wonderful families through gymnastics, Kindermusik, toddler pre-school, and neighborhood get-togethers.

We are very fortunate to have extended family in the area to celebrate birthdays, holidays, BBQ’s, and casual visits. Our family is very supportive of adoption. They welcomed our son with love and compassion, and everyone is eager for another “special delivery”! We believe life will be twice as nice the second time around. Grandparents and great-grandparents are five minutes away and visit us weekly! We are proud to say, Noah’s only babysitters are family! Our nightly ritual of family dancing (Hokey Pokey, Head & Shoulders, etc…), bath time splashes, stories and snuggles make us laugh. At the end of the day, when Noah is peacefully sleeping, we often comment, “Life is soooo good!”

Our home is filled with love and laughter and we dream of completing our family by adopting another child. We will provide a life where our children feel secure in the love and support of their family. Our children will be encouraged to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be! We have a very strong community of support with our family and friends and they are all eager to welcome our newest member!

Loving Reflections

Brenda's Thoughts of Tom

Tom is high energy! He has a terrific sense of humor, a laugh that engulfs a room, and he is truly a kid at heart. He cleverly manages to sneak Cocoa Puffs or Captain Crunch cereal into the grocery cart! And mysteriously spits out peas when Noah isn’t watching! Cars, trucks, and trains have invaded our home…. He claims they are for Noah, but I know he is reliving his childhood! He has always been loving, understanding and goofy! (Remember, we’ve known each other since junior high!) He is a fabulous father! He is involved in all aspects of family life. Tidal wave bath splashes, swinging on the play-set with his suit and tie, reading Goodnight Gorilla for the millionth time, changing poopy diapers…He is truly a hands on dad! He is the only Pre-School Dad and is very proud of it. All the moms love him…although it could be the chocolate! Tom is also a traditionalist and is very sentimental. He sends me flowers on the first day of school, hand delivers a cup of warm tea in the evening- just because, and he loves to surprise me! Tom is a dedicated father and a wonderful husband. With Tom in my life, our home is filled with LOVE, GIGGLES, and the UNEXPECTED! His enthusiasm for life captivated me years ago, and continues to this day. I love him with all my heart!

Tom's Thoughts of Brenda

The first time I saw Brenda hold Noah, I melted. She is wonderful with children and has truly found her calling as a mother. Her experience as an elementary teacher has helped her to do an insightful job raising our son to be happy and caring for others. She is Noah’s playmate, teacher and a loving mother. Being “Mommy” is a very important part of her life and it shows in the way she cares for and loves our son. She is happiest when she is snuggled up with Noah reading a book, or covered with finger-paints, or just plain “sticky”! When I come home from work at night, I can’t wait to hear the stories about their adventures that day. She has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh, especially with Noah and myself! She loves to have fun and enjoys the simple things in life. I really appreciate this. She truly enjoys being with children. She wants nothing more than for Noah to have a sibling to play with and to have another child for us to love. I could not imagine a more wonderful wife and mother. She is the love of my life!

Noah - Our Beautiful Bundle of Boy!

Four years ago, we were blessed when our son Noah joined our family through adoption. Noah is our precious preschooler! He loves to be outside exploring and finding bugs and slugs! Thomas the Train, Hot Wheels, daredevil big wheel races, climbing his jungle gym, and snacking on goldfish crackers and yogurt covered raisins makes his day! He is loveable and happy, charming and silly, but most of all he is the light of our lives. We look forward to watching Noah as he shares his life with a sibling. We know he will eagerly want to hold, kiss and dote on his baby brother or sister…. as he lovingly does so, with our Chinese Pug Lilli Lu! He is quite a guy! Adorable of course! Words cannot express the joy he has brought into our lives and the infinite amount of love we feel for him and for each other. Our lifestyle is centered around our family and we truly enjoy the time we spend together. Noah has brought so much meaning into our life as we see it now through a child's eyes. It's funny how the simple things can bring so much happiness and laughter. We are so excited about sharing this joy with another child!
