Independent Adoption - Open Adoption Services is a public service / volunteer site. I am Daniel Moore (Site Owner). For my day job, I work as a Web Design Engineer at Microsoft (dmoore@microsoft.com). As my wife and I became engaged in the open adoption process, it became increasingly evident that the on-line support available was not well suited to our goals. Because on-line content was my area of expertise anyway, I decided to set out on my own. I originally built this site for our own purposes. Once we adopted, I decided to keep it going and make it available to others. Since then, I have continued to improve the content and continued to improve the search-engine placement. This site is currently a hobby / public service site. I am not clear where I will take it from here. I work on it when I have time. I am not worried about it's future and I don't have any grand schemes for it's future. Right now, it just feels like the right thing to do. I have solicited the help of a good friend of mine, Anita Wong, who has her own website design business. She has agreed to help in keeping the content of this site current.
